Sunday
Arrive in Senigallia train station or Ancona airport. Private transport to your four star hotel renowned in Senigallia for its outstanding service, located 100 metres from the Adriatic and historic centre.
Walk to the restaurant on the beach for our welcome dinner with full fish menu and many different mouthwatering courses.
Monday
Drive along the coast to visit Portonovo, a picturesque bay that sits at the bottom of a majestic forested mountainside and offers extraordinary views of the coastline and the sea.
Drive along the wild, green coast and through pretty hills with patchwork of gold or green fields, forests, orchards and wild flowers to a farmhouse, owned by a very nice young couple.
Bread making lesson and baking bread with farro grain flour. Lunch of bread you made, vegetables, salumi, pecorino cheese, cereals, lentils and red wine Rosso Conero, produced by the family.
After lunch, on the way back we stop in Ancona to see the harbour and the boats. Time to walk around the historic centre and old port serving Greece, Arabia and China. From the cathedral on top of the hill dominating the port, watch boats arriving.
Return to the hotel.
Free time to stroll in the very pretty center of Senigallia.
Dinner on your own.
Tuesday
Arrive 9:30/10:00 at Acqualagna in the hills northwest of Senigallia to visit Fabrizio, the truffle hunter. Truffle hunt walk in the forest near his home. Length of walk up to you.
Lunch at home of truffle dishes like pasta with truffles, frittata with truffles. Visit a truffle products factory where they make truffle sauces, truffle infused oils etc to see how the products are made.
Return to the hotel. In the afternoon drive to Loretello, visit a winery that produces the famous Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi and the ancient Oil of San Vito, known since Roman times. The Verdicchio vineyards are beside the Loretello Castle dating from the year 1000.
Stop at a hamlet of six people for a special visit. Dinner at a typical trattoria in a town of 10-22 people (depending on who you talk to). Vino della casa---good house wine.
Wednesday
Leave for Corinaldo, a little jewel medieval town with all its walls intact and lovely country views, also jokingly called, "Place of the Crazy Ones"-your guide will tell you some stories there.
Drive to Cartoceto for wine and extra virgin olive oil tastings. The owner will teach us how to taste this precious product during our light lunch based on cheeses and salumi. Cartoceto area produces the best extra virgin olive oil of Marche.
Back to Senigallia.
In the afternoon drive to a private home close to Senigallia for a cooking lesson with Simonetta learning regional recipes. Dinner of your creations.
Thursday
In the early morning walk to the port to buy fresh fish, just caught, directly from the fishermen boats for our afternoon cooking lesson.
Then time to stroll in the center of Senigallia. On thursday there is a beautiful open market where you can walk and shop. Lunch on your own.
In the afternoon cooking lesson based on fish dishes with a chef.
Dinner of your creations.
Friday
Visit the Paper Museum in Fabriano, famous among those who love quality paper. Medieval workshops function with workers going through all the steps in making fine paper from rags. Light lunch. Return to hotel.
In the late afternoon drive to the countryside at a private home close to Senigallia, that offers a panoramic view of the hills and the sea. We will explore the olive orchard, then have our farewell dinner enjoying grilled meat and vegetables country style served, if weather permits, outside in the patio. The evening will be accompained, for groups of 6-8 people at least, by a special typical Italian live music.
Saturday
Departure after breakfast at the hotel.
