4 Night Italy Wine Tour Itinerary

Meet at Turin airport or railway station. Drive to town of Barolo. Stay in a three star hotel in Barolo with swimming pool and beautiful views of Barolo castle.
Dine in a typical restaurant, drink great local wines and eat authentic Piedmont specialties.
Explore the La Morra area. Drive along its winding country roads and gaze at spectacular Barolo wine valley views. At a Barolo winery like Rocche Castamagno in La Morra, you taste their wines on their terrace with panoramas of poetic hills.
Enjoy a light lunch in a great restaurant or wine bar nearby.
Drive to a medium size, family run winery. The charming owner is an encyclopedia of facts about Barolo wine and tells you everything you always wanted to know about Barolo as you tour their winery and drink their wines together.
Drive back up the hill to experience two Barolo wineries. At the smaller, family run Mauro Veglio winery, you taste their wines with them around their cozy tasting room table.
Next door, visit the Elio Altare winery. Tour their cellars, taste their wines. You may hear the inspiring story of Elio Altare’s comeback that made him the mentor for Barolo wine makers today.
For dinner, savour local dishes at a fine restaurant
Drive up through magnificent wine country hills to the Barbaresco wine country. Outside Barbaresco, arrive at a small, family run winery for a tasting and light lunch with their fine Barbaresco wine.
Drive to hill town of Barbaresco to experience a quite a different wine adventure at the large Produttori Barbaresco, the co-operative winery of Barbaresco producers.
Outside Barbaresco, visit a small family winery with old style traditions. Around the wooden table in front of the fireplace, relax with the owner and taste his great wines.
Outside Barbaresco in a restaurant surrounded by hills of vineyards, dine on exquisite local dishes.
Drive to city of Alba to visit the famous Pio Cesare winery, one of the biggest Barolo producers.
Enjoy a light lunch in Alba, with a delightful medieval heart and its famous medieval towers like Tuscany’s San Gimignano, where you have time to explore.
Drive back to the wine country hills to visit another great Barolo winery for a private tour and tasting.
Back to your hotel in Barolo to relax.
At the Brezza family’s wine cellar in Barolo, a family member takes you on a short tour before you sit around a wooden table to taste their wines and talk about life. When you dine in their restaurant that evening with views of Barolo castle and vineyards, they feel like pals.
