Italy Cooking School Tour Itinerary
Meet at Castelfiorentino train station (on the Florence-Siena line) between 5 to 6 p.m.
Drive into country hills to a boutique inn, each room decorated differently with fun, modern touches. The warm, friendly family owners make you feel welcome right away.
Welcome dinner at your country inn’s fine restaurant. Their sommelier daughter gives you excellent advice on best wines to complement your dishes.
Drive to Pisa. Cook a multi-course Tuscan lunch with exuberant Chef Stefania in her restaurant kitchen. Dine on your creations.
Pisa offers a lot more than its leaning tower. A local guide takes you on a walk to discover parts most tourists never see, where local people live and shop. Free time to explore.
Drive back home. Enjoy another exquisite dinner in your inn’s restaurant.
Morning cooking class at your inn’s restaurant with their outstanding chef, also the son-in-law of the family owners. Lunch of your creations follows.
Afternoon visit at an excellent winery for a tour and guided wine tasting of their best wines.
Dinner at a typical trattoria where local people eat.
With your guide, explore Volterra, a fascinating hill town, famous for its Etruscan art and museum, alabaster as well as its Roman and Medieval history and art. Lunch in a typical restaurant in town.
In the late afternoon at your country inn’s restaurant, cook recipes based on Italian Renaissance ones. Dinner of your creations.
Cook with Emanuela in her home in her old country style Tuscan kitchen just outside San Gimignano. Learn traditional recipes and saffron specialties. Lunch of your creations with her around her elegant dining table.
Explore San Gimignano, famous for its medieval towers and white Vernaccia wine. The beautifully preserved medieval centre has a variety of piazzas, churches with frescoes by Ghirlandaio (Michelangelo’s teacher) and Gozzoli, palaces and cafes where you sit back with a glass of Vernaccia and watch local life go by.

Walk in town, San Miniato. Lunch “al fresco” on the terrace of renowned, old restaurant.
