You visit a family at their farm high in the mountains, where the truffle
hunter father takes you on a hunt in the forest and shows you how
his dogs sniff out these rare delicacies from among tree roots. You enjoy a wonderful lunch with this friendly family around their table.
You stay at an agriturismo country
house owned and run by a very hospitable local couple and set in
rolling olive groves overlooking the medieval town of Bevagna with breathtaking views across the valley all the way to Assisi on a clear day.

its butchers. At a local trattoria for lunch, savour a variety of local salami and hams with fresh bread and other delights.
